  34.     Abstract:
  35.       This coverage includes points that describe selected capital
  36.       cities and major cities of Southeast Asia (Brunei, Cambodia,
  37.       Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Papua New Guinea, Philippines,
  38.       Solomon Islands, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam; and portions
  39.       of China and Australia).
  40.     Purpose:
  41.       To depict capitals and selected major cities as locational
  42.       reference to Open File Report 97-470F Maps Showing Geology,
  43.       Geologic Provinces, and Oil and Gas Fields of the Asia
  44.       Pacific Region; Plate 2: Southeast Asia, which is being compiled
  45.       as a reference for the U.S. Geological Survey's World Energy
  46.       Project assessment of undiscovered, technically recoverable
  47.       oil and gas resources of the world.  This coverage is used to
  48.       produce a map and an Adobe Acrobat Portable Document of the map
  49.       to be published on CD-ROM. An Arcview shapefile derived from
  50.       this coverage is used in an Arcview project and an ArcExplorer
  51.       project.
